The upshot for the comic is that the real world will still take priority and updates will continue to be very sporadic. However, my resolution is to make more time for the comic. I find I am more energized when I am being creative, and I lost my zest in 2011, the whole time I wasn’t doing the comic or at least drawing *something* every day.

It is so rewarding to make comics for you. I enjoy writing and drawing, but my enjoyment grows when I can share the comics with you.  Talking with you in the comments and on facebook and twitter adds to the whole experience.  That’s why when I’m counting my blessings this year, I include those of you who read and enjoy Life’s a Witch.

Tina being mean goes TOTALLY against my vision of her! She’s fun to draw all creepy, though.

I went to buy some Halloween decor today. All my usual decor is packed away and I wanted to have SOMETHING out. There is a Halloween store that sprung up and we took advantage of the 50% off sale. The name tag of our checkout lady read “BERENICE”!!

It’s very hard to write supportive Tina as one of those people who hate fat people. The real Tina understands the mental battle losing weight is…it is truly not JUST “eat less, exercise more.” Psycho Tina, on the other hand, is very UN-Tinalike…

Since it’s now the 27th, finishing by Halloween will be impossible. But this is a comic about witches, werewolves and fairies…we keep the Halloween spirit going all the time, right?

Finally, we see Zelda. Isn’t it nice to see a young, attractive version of her?

I mentioned that it is hard to translate Berenice to a visual story. The show Tales of Mystery and Imagination did it by not quite following the story as it is written. You can see their interpretation of Berenice on Hulu.com.
