The Shimmering
Had a real hard time with Tina in panel 2, but finally decided that you get the idea!

She lives!!!! She has not been swallowed by the TX Pterodactyl,… she lives. Sadly after a weekend of show my brain is so marinated in lack of sleep, meat and potatoes, soda, and cider that I cannot fully word my thoughts nor fully organize these fleeting things into thoughts,..so,..yay you are alive,…lol
Hey,…hey Witchy,…pssst remember us,… we are still here waiting,…. we are growing long white beards again, and whats worse I think some of the women are too….lol.
I am assuming [as much as I hate to do so because you know what they say happens when you Assume] that you are still in limbo with the whole moving and hubby job thing,..either that or you were speaking literally about being in Limbo and you are lost amongst the spirits of the newly dead,…. I truly hope its the first one because I know the dead can be extremely boring company. Hopefully you can find a spare moment to at least update us on your condition [or if you are literally in Limbo contact a Medium to do so on your behalf]. Inquiring minds want to know [or if you are in Limbo would it be Enquiring minds?] whats up,….
I know, I know…
Here is my new haircut:

I’m still twitching. I will definitely finish this storyline before I move to Seattle.
I commented back in July about my current WIP getting put on the back burner repeatedly. Well, I wasn’t going to do NaNoWriMo this year, but on Halloween night, both my wife and my son said that I *had* to do it, since it had pretty much become a November tradition for me. I made a quick decision on an idea, and took a short story I’d written as the “outline” for a novel-length rewrite, and cranked out my seventh straight WriMo win. Once back in the writing mode, I took a look at the stalled WIP, and was disgusted to see I hadn’t done anything with it since last December. It’s now winding down to a finished manuscript, and I should have it done by the end of this next week.
I guess what all that means is, it’s never too late to pick back up and finish the story.
My characters were waiting patiently for me, and I’m sure yours are also waiting for you.
Figured I would peek back in to check on things,..seems the “busy” has rubbed off on me. I am now helping run a Pirate Festival and an officer in a Production Company that does the same. So I have been sewing [badly], building set dressing [not so badly], and working on getting Vendors for our show,..all in preparation for a show in October. Still awaiting the next comic,……
Yup I am the Vendor Coordinator for the Englewood Pirate Festival and Board Member [one of like 6] for Society for Historic Enactment and Entertainment [SHEE] which is our production company. I get paid [well reimbursed for gas really] to go to local Ren Faires and Pirate Faires here in FL to look for vendors or actors for our show plus since I spent over a year on the Faire circuit I know enough people I try to get a job at these Faires so I get my gas covered by my coordinator job and then paid to help a merchant at the Faire [usually goes to covering room and board for that weekend]. As for me being important I am just a harmless long haired pirate making my way in the world,…this is our second year doing the Englewood Pirate Faire and we only bring SHEE to 3 other shows a year,….lol.
Still checking in, too! I’m also getting ready to post a Kickstarter Project to get the second book in my Pod series published. Gotta keep moving!
Speaking of which, any progress on your move to Seattle? My better half and I will be up there the last part of June. I’m attending a Writer’s Conference in Portland the last weekend in June, and we decided to stretch the trip out and head up to Seattle for a day or so before flying back.
Hoomi!! Good for you. I hope kickstarter is a huge success.
As for Seattle, hubby and daughter are already up there. Hubby is working at a new studio downtown and daughter is finishing up her Junior year of high school there.
Unfortunately, our house hasn’t sold yet so I am still down in Texas with son, who is finishing up his sophomore year of college. He will be transferring to WA to go to college up there after the current semester.
So everyone send me good vibes for house sale and moving soon! The quicker I can unpack my work computer, the quicker the comic can rev up. I keep trying to get out my sketchbook and do it old school, but I am too distracted with everything just in limbo. HAHAHA
Seems life is throwing us all some curve balls,…. my plans have changed yet again because it seems I will be leaving my Home as well for about a year. I will be going back on the road traveling the eastern US doing RenFaires over the next year. In theory come April I will be in GA for GA RenFaire,… then KY for KY RenFaire [in Emminence],…. the NY for 2 week long Pagan gathering at Brushwood west side of NY state],… then possibly TX for TRF [between Bryan and Houston in Mission],..then back to FL for December break,..then start season again here in FL in Jan for Hoggetown Medieval Faire [in Gainessville] then Bay Area Renfaire [in Tampa],..then back on the road possibly next year,…..

SO glad you are drawing again! Great stuff, honey!
