STAPLE!!

Click for the Convention's WebsiteTHERE’s NO COMIC FOR FRIDAY because I spent my drawing time getting ready for STAPLE!!!!

Staple is THIS SATURDAY in Austin. Click the image here for all the info. If you are going to be in town at the Expo, please be sure to come by Table 67 in “The Hall” to say hello!  I will have copies of SUGAR NINJAS and the Life’s a Witch mini-comic Cold Hands Warm Heart to sell (featuring some recent strips).

I’ll also have free comic samples to take home to your friends and family so that you may introduce them to the magical goodness of webcomickry.

Also, I’ll be doing sketch cards during the down time. These will be like the mini sketches in the slideshow in the sidebar and done on postcard-sized cardstock.

You know I’ll be taking pictures and being all fan-girly (oh yes, us “mature” women can still get fangirly) and will share all the details with my fellow comic creators! Watch for updates.

I will also twitter from the show and post some twit pics. (These will be from my phone to my personal twitter account. My personal tweets are listed under the bird-twitter button in the sidebar of the Life’s a Witch site, for those of you who don’t tweet.) All of this assumes I remember to charge my phone and then remember to bring it to the expo.

See you in the expo-afterglow on Sunday!

Also, I like the word “also” today.

How was STAPLE?? :)

It was AWESOME! I tried to tweet from the show, but foot traffic was incredibly heavy (a good thing) and I didn’t get a lot of pics. I did, however, get lots of great feedback on my presentation, art and writing and made more sales than I was expecting, but not what I thought would sell. (For example, just about every passerby looked at Sugar Ninjas but no one bought. I did sell quite a bit of the mini and a handful of sketch cards. I didn’t expect the sketch cards would be as well-received as they were. I’ll do more of them next year.)

I can’t recall where you’re located, but if it’s anywhere where you could come next year, I’d definitely recommend the show. Your sculptures and sketches would showcase nicely.

What a great show it was! I loved meeting your fans (Old and new) and was very gratified by everyone’s enthusiasm for Zelda and Crew!

I’m way over in Ohio so It would take a lot of planning. I’m so happy that it went well for you! I was afraid that belts would be too tight for people to buy things this year. How exciting! :D Yeah I agree, people never buy what you think they will buy.
