The Speed of Dark
Oh, I’ve so done this. When I was little, my bedroom was at the end of a long hallway. I’d get a running start, leap and try to beat the dark to my bed. Everywhere my bedroom was at the end of a long hallway, I’d try it. Even after I grew up.
I’m sad I don’t have a long hallway now.

Wow! Thank you for the good words, all! I had a lot of fun drawing this one and I am so glad you’re sharing my enjoyment!
Irma: Now Imy has to do it, too…in the snow!
TheWarlock: Do you remember the first time I did that to you? HAHAHA
Scraps: I love drawing action. I think I’m a frustrated super hero comicker. Thank you for saying that.
MeggyC: I had to chuckle. I think the first leap I made as a kid was to dodge the toy minefield. But all you really need is a clear path between the lightswitch and the bed. GO FOR IT!
Barry: *squee!* Thank you. BTW, just bought my table for DWEX. I thought of you as I hit the “pay” button. I hope to see you and the clan there!
Terry Pratchett, the author of Discworld, has it that the speed of dark is slower than the speed of light, but not by much. You see, light has to get out of the way of dark so dark can replace light. Sometimes dark and light try to be in the same place at the same time. That’s when you get dark that you can’t see. Most people call it “dawn” in the morning or “dusk” in the evening. So, in closing, yes you *can* outrun the dark as long as you move at the speed of dark. ^_^

I absolutely LOVE this one! LOVE IT!!!!
