Hot Head
I really do think about that when I go outside with my glasses.

If you’re short-sighted, though, there’s nothing to worry about. (ie you have trouble seeing far-away things) The lenses for short-sighted people are diverging (convex) lenses, while a magnifying glass (and far-sighted glasses) is a converging lense. You need a converging lense to focus the sun’s rays into burning something.
Here’s a bit of literary trivia for you: in the novel, “Lord of the Flies”, by William Golding, the stranded school boys use Piggy’s glasses to start a fire. However, he was nearsighted and, as mentioned above, the lenses would have diverged the rays, so no fire. Being nearsighted myself, I never have to worry about my glasses setting anything on fire.
I wonder what would happen if you are neither nearsighted or farsighted. I have astigmatism in both eyes and every time I go to the Dr. I have a fight on my hands. The last time I went they had to redo my prescription 3 times just to get it right.
Back on topic, I bet if I did try to set fire to something, it would miss and set fire to whatever is next to it.
