He’s a WHAT?

Of course Tina is going to call Zelda and talk about the date.  Tina isn’t a kiss-and-teller, but friends DO share some basic info…some important facts that need to be shared. Like whether or not the guy turned out to be a werewolf–or a NERD!

Yes, still getting the hang of the new tablet/computer/program set up.  It would be easier if I had bigger chunks of time and a lot more discipline to use the little chunks I have.  This strip came out of some sketches of Witchy I was doing to see if I could get the basics down.

I tried a different script for this strip.  (Click the image to see the original.) In the world of Life’s a Witch, there is medication for things like lycanthropy, vampirism and cubism.

I figure if we bring Floyd in as a regular/semi-regular cast member, we might need to know these things.

LOL as if Nerd was worse than Werewolf !

Also, in the first two Panels Zelda looks a little regressed toward the early Zelda in style. Very interesting.

I think it’s the shaky lines. Not used to the “feel” of things.

You would think Floyd would be more worried about being found out he was a nerd instead of being a werewolf, wouldn’t you?

Also sorry for not commenting recently. My main computer has joined the choir invisible and I am having to use an older “backup” computer to do my internet. u_u,

Welcome Back, Dale! I’ve missed you! OH NO on the “backup” computer. It’s hard to go back isn’t it?

I honestly think the first version of the comic is MUCH better. You should have left it in there. Nerd just doesn’t carry near the same connotation, plus, it could be even more offensive.

Hi, Seshiru! I’ve missed you too!

I am not too worried about the nerd/geek element, since my whole family (and probably most of my audience) fall into that category. But I do like the “medication” version very much, which is why I’m keeping it instead of deleting. I may switch it out for the final, but I do want to underline the nerd/geek thing for Floyd.

I don’t know what’s worse, being a werewolf or a nerd. Heheh.

Though the other script gives us more information about the world of this comic, it doesn’t have the right punchline. Actually, I like this version of the script. It’s just a funnier punchline. And as someone who probably falls under the geek/nerd category by most people’s standards, I really don’t think that’s offensive. It’s just how people talk.

And I think it’s interesting that lycanthropy, vampirism are illnesses that can be cured in this world. It really paints those concepts in a different light.

And I think I would hate to be ill with cubism. Though I think dadaism would be even worse. Actually being stuck in most any avant-garde style world probably be pretty bad.

Hi, MeggyC! I actually thought of those conditions as chronic… you know, it never really goes away, but there is medication to help you with the symptoms.

And thank you for appreciating the “cubism” bit. I swear, that’s the next “-ism” that popped into my head. (Though I wish now I had thought of “dadaism”! HAHAHAH!)

I think a nerd werewolf sounds friendlier than a non-nerd werewolf. Shout “OH LOOK! A NEW LINUX DISTRO” distract him and flee! ;)

LOL the problem is that you have to BE a Nerd to distract him!

“Look, is that William Shatner?!?”

HAHAHA
