Real Life’s a Witch: Not Cancer and other news

NotCancerOf course the big news in our family is that my sister-in-law had a tumor removed from her pancreas which turned out to be  a PSEUDO-tumor (I had it wrong before).  That is, it was a tumor that appeared malignant, but pathology reports that it is not actually malignant.  Since the operation to remove it is so complicated, she will be months and months in recovery just from the surgery.  Obviously, this Real Life’s a Witch comic journal entry celebrates the good word that she won’t have to endure chemotherapy in order to fight pancreatic cancer.

In Comic News:

That’s all from this side of the computer!  I will be working on finishing up the Tina/Floyd storyline ASAP! Thank you so much for your patience.

Congrats on your sister-in-law’s prognosis. See, prayer does work! ^_^ I hope her recovery come swiftly and with very little pain and discomfort.

I am also glad you found a new drawing tablet. I hope you find it easy and fun to use.

Hi- You use Manda Studio? Please, Which edition? I have a friend who got Manga Studio 4 a month or so ago for her birthday, and she is VERY frustrated with it. She can’t get the PDF manual to load properly and she’s feeling guilty that the person who bought her this expensive piece of software has wasted their money and…
(Yeah, she’s got lousy self esteem- but that’s another story…)
ANYWAY… May I point her over here?

I am so glad that the news for your sister-in-law turned out to be good. Hopefully she will recover even quicker than they expect and be herself soon.

Dale and Patti: Thank you for the good words. She is overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from the internet community and I know that’s a good feeling. We expect it to take a few months for her to be near normal, but normal she shall be! (Or as “normal” as she ever was, anyway! HAHAHA!)

LadyFox: I am using “Manga Studio Debut 4″! I believe that is the same version as your friend. I am still getting the hang of it myself, but I did figure out the basics! Of course you may point her over here! Or she can email me directly (samantha(at)witchytech.com).

Actually, anyone can email me at any time about anything they want to know. I am using Photoshop CS4 and Manga Studio Debut 4 if you want to ask a software question, but you can ask about anything! I will answer them on an “Ask Samantha” post.

Woo that gave me a sparkle of happy on this miserable day, hope shes up and rearing to go quickly!!! :D

Hmmmmmm I’m ashamed to say I have never considered switching from Wacom for my Tablet needs, so I’m watching this development with interest.

Hi, John Doe! I think I will do a “tour” of my tablet this week for you and others who might be interested in a non-Wacom tablet solution.

Thank YOU!!!! I’ll go pester L. and tell her to get over here. :D

And many happy internet cookies to your sister-in-law that she does NOT have the dread disease. :D

Love the celebration about Kat not having cancer….great artwork…..we felt the same way inside….happy days!

Thanks so much for the cheer coming from your house!!!!!

Lots of Love,
Mom W.
