Real Life’s a Witch: Not Cancer and other news
Of course the big news in our family is that my sister-in-law had a tumor removed from her pancreas which turned out to be a PSEUDO-tumor (I had it wrong before). That is, it was a tumor that appeared malignant, but pathology reports that it is not actually malignant. Since the operation to remove it is so complicated, she will be months and months in recovery just from the surgery. Obviously, this Real Life’s a Witch comic journal entry celebrates the good word that she won’t have to endure chemotherapy in order to fight pancreatic cancer.

- WELCOME to readers from other SPIDERFOREST.COM comics! In order to introduce our readers to other comics in our group, we have been introducing each other individually in our news posts. This week, it’s Life’s a Witch’s turn to be introduced. Hello! It’s nice to meet you!

Wacom has decided that my Graphire is still under warranty and is fixing it. In the meantime, Mr. Wonderful (my husband) got me a new non-Wacom tablet to try. It is a brand called “VisTablet” and I am actually doing pretty well with it. It has the programmable hot-keys/macros that I missed from my old Aiptek (which was not very compatible with Windows Vista). And better than the Aiptek, it has MORE spaces for macros and I can do a “profile” for each art program’s commands.. for example, I can program in the keystrokes for Photoshop commands into the Photoshop profile, and the corresponding commands for the Manga Studio program in the Manga Studio profile. It will make switching between art programs so much more convenient. It will be nice just tapping the tablet for “undo” and “zoom” and other things that I use quite a bit without having to go to the menu each time. This picture of Witchy is the first one of her I have done with the new tablet. I am still getting the feel of it.
That’s all from this side of the computer! I will be working on finishing up the Tina/Floyd storyline ASAP! Thank you so much for your patience.

Hi- You use Manda Studio? Please, Which edition? I have a friend who got Manga Studio 4 a month or so ago for her birthday, and she is VERY frustrated with it. She can’t get the PDF manual to load properly and she’s feeling guilty that the person who bought her this expensive piece of software has wasted their money and…
(Yeah, she’s got lousy self esteem- but that’s another story…)
ANYWAY… May I point her over here?

Congrats on your sister-in-law’s prognosis. See, prayer does work! ^_^ I hope her recovery come swiftly and with very little pain and discomfort.
I am also glad you found a new drawing tablet. I hope you find it easy and fun to use.
