I Clench: Real Life’s a Witch
Yes, I’m still obsessing over my son driving, the poor kid. The first child is always the one that teaches us how to be parents. I really did enjoy reading your comments on the last installment of Real Life’s a Witch about driving lessons.
Here are this week’s updates on what’s going on at my house:
- School starts on MONDAY. Since my days will be free once again, I will throw myself into getting this computer and my graphic tablets working together so I can catch up. WOULD YOU LIKE ME TO POST FILLER? I am never sure how that is received by readers, and LAWers are special. On the one hand, it gives you something to look at other than the last strip I did but on the other…it’s FILLER. (Please note that the comic will not RESUME on the 24th, just that I will be able to actually focus on getting things going.)
- Also on Monday, Metroid Prime Trilogy comes out! That is the compilation of all the games that hubby worked on since we have been in Texas. He was the design lead on the project that put them all on one disk for the Nintendo Wii. I have already shown you the video with hubby in it. For those of you who don’t follow me on Twitter or are my personal friends on Facebook, there is also an article/interview on IGN.com. Yes, I’m shouting from the rooftops. I am so proud of my hubby and his company!
- Our spread-out extended family is pulling together in support of a family member who has been diagnosed with a potentially life-threatening disease. Fear and hope and all else you can imagine are influencing everything we do and all the plans we make right now. If the word should come that we are wanted or needed in person, we’re just going to up and go. I may or may not update the site should that happen, but I will definitely post to twitter (since I can do it by cell phone). If you don’t use or follow me on twitter, you can see my latest tweets near the top of the column to the right.
This weekend, I must hem my daughter’s pants (Zelda vs. Sewing) and get a few last minute things for school next week . I am actually thinking I will miss the kids once school starts this year. They have been marvelous company for me over the summer now that they are old enough to enjoy many of the things that I enjoy, too. On the good side, it will be REAL nice to be back on a regular schedule once again.
Speaking of regular schedules, do you guys have special days for special chores? For example, I like to plan to run errands on Tuesdays and go grocery shopping on Thursdays. (Planning and doing are two different things!) Do you have a “vacuum” day and a “mopping” day or “laundry” day?

Good luck with all of your challenges, Samantha. I’ll keep good thoughts in mind for you and your family.
Congrats to your husband, by the way!
As for filler, it’s great to see anything! As long as it doesn’t get in the way of you getting new strips together, of course
