Questions and Answers about Feet: Real Life’s a Witch
Since my graphic pads aren’t working, and doing the comic the traditional way is an exercise in frustration, I thought I’d do something totally different while we’re waiting. Little panels of journal comics entitled “Real Life’s a Witch” about things in my real life. Hopefully, you will enjoy them and be inspired to answer the questions that the entry may bring to my mind.
Today, I am focused on feet because I have to go buy shoes for my daughter. I was thinking that she should have clean socks to wear to try on shoes in the store.
In Life’s a Witch, I have depicted Zelda wearing pompom socks before, but mostly she wears pink fuzzy slippers around the house. I chose that because it just seems so cute to be dressed as a witch and to wear pink fuzzy slippers.
In real life, I do not wear pink fuzzy slippers nor pompom socks around the house. In cold seasons, I wear these plush socks/slipper things… they do not have a hard sole and are not for walking around.. they are just made to keep your feet warm while lounging. I sleep in them and like them much better than sleeping in socks in the winter! I call them my “booties.”
In summer, I wear flip flops or mules. Or socks. I don’t like going barefooted anymore, though I ran around barefooted whenever possible when I was younger.
SO, what do you wear on your feet around the house? Do you have a special pair of slippers that you wear, or do you prefer socks? Do you go barefooted? Why or why not? Post your answers or comments on “Real Life’s a Witch” below! I’d love to hear from you!

Once I kick off my day-shoes at home (usually after supper when I change into comfy clothes and head into my studio) it’s time for the Monkey Slippers. I hate going bare-foot–always have–and socks are okay, but I like the slippers better. Plus they double as foot-puppets when I feel like being silly (always).
Well I wear the usually wear the all-purpose sports sock, but when I get home I fling off the shoes (I HATE shoes!!!) and throw on these old fashioned mens slippers that I got of a family member for Christmas, there super comfortable and while I get a lot of agro about them I simply don’t care about image over comfort.
P.S Barefeet a no-no for me (feet are soooo disgusting to me Blargh!!!)
I’m one of those people who have to wear really comfortable things around the house out of a silent (and cowardly) protest against my works unpractical dress-code.
Slippers all the waaaaay!!! I also get these special socks from a local shop that, honest to God, feel like Jesus teamed up with Buddha to become a sock-maker.
There a wee bit expensive but my Fiance (whom you may be able to guess ;P) is alright about it.

Let’s see here…
When I’m at home I have several choices. I can go barefoot (usually in not-winter), I wear tube/sport socks (usually in winter), my oriental silk slippers (martial art slippers, hard soled) when I am going out side, usually just to walk to the mailbox and back, or my work shoes (when I go anywhere else).
Socks are mostly white, though I do have some that are black (special occasions for the most part). My slippers are the type of slippers worn by Chinese/Japanese. Quasi-comfortable as long as there is a cushioned inner sole in them. Finally the work shoes are similar to tennis shoes with a water-proof and slip proof bottom sole.
That about it as far as foot wear goes for this ol’ dog and his puppies.
Later.
