The Frosting!!
We made the absolute yummiest cupcakes for Father’s Day. Of course, it was the frosting that everyone raved over!
During the Dropped Cake storyline, a reader named JoanH told a story about a dropped cake in her family. It was made more of tragedy because the cake was frosted with her mother’s MOCHA BUTTERCREAM FROSTING, the story was funny but I wanted that recipe!
JoanH kindly posted it for us all here. I am making a special post today to say it truly is “pure sugar bomb and SOOO tasty!” as described.

I’m so glad you all enjoyed the frosting. 
There’s nothing like passing on a good recipe to be enjoyed by others. My mom either got it from a cookbook or the New York Daily News. She frosted many a birthday cake with it over the years. Now you see why she often made a double batch to be enjoyed sans cake. My own birthday is coming up soon (July 2), and I think I’ll make some to “share the love.” Cupcakes, here I come!
We sure loved it. And I did have plenty leftover for the fridge!
