Driving Miss Louise

Teen Sprawl

Honestly… that’s the main reason I want him to have a car.  To run errands for me! I wonder if my mom was the same way.

I thought you would be interested to see this sketch. This was the original first panel.

I think the original was more athentic but it might have worked better in the second panel

Still loving this storyline! I’m with you – I can’t wait to have my son run get milk or bread for me. Even at the ripe old age of 41, I still remember the thrill of those first solo runs, even if it meant running errands for my mom. Of course, if she sent me out for milk, it was probably warm by the time I worked my way home! I love the original teen sprawl. I am constantly fussing at my children to “sit up” or “sit normal” when they are on any of our furniture. Looking forward to the next installment.

I’m glad the sprawl was appreciated.

Mark Jungklaus: Welcome! You think so? I really liked it and I had the kids talking for two more panels, but it just seemed to wordy. I cut it for the words, not so much the image.. it just didn’t “go” with what I edited the text to be.

The first panel of the comic shown was actually the 3rd panel of the “sprawl” version. Panel 1 is the sketch you see here, panel 2 is an “oomph” depicting Bryan’s flip as he sits up from the upsidedown position, and panel 3 would be him laying down on the couch in panel 1.

I think I will save these sketches. I will definitely find a use for them down the line! *grin*

Paige: I know! My son saw that sketch and said, “I really sit like that, you know.” As if he had no idea where the inspiration for Bryan comes from. And LOL, did you see that Louise wanted to go to “Paige’s” house?

Kids can certainly be obtuse when they need to be! I most definitely saw that Louise wanted to go to “Paige’s” house. Loved it! I’ve been printing copies of the comic to show my husband – I’m making a fan of him as well. Have a great weekend!

His grandfather has a few chores. Just a few.

“Is it to bingo?”

“You wish bring bleach, bucket and rags boy cause you’re taking him to his latest colonoscopy.”

Paige: I usually check out the site before I work on the strip. Your name must have stuck in my brain when I was deciding where Louise would want to go. BTW, I print out some of my favorite web comics to put in my children’s lunchboxes. When I read your post, I imagined you doing that for hubby.

Hi, mrmeval! It is good to see you again!
