Wet Blanket

Sheesh… I hate being the wet blanket. But sometimes teens just need a reality check!

(Note to RickyN who was in the WatchMeDraw room with us today: When you asked if it was “Drawing Day” and I said “yes”.. I was wrong. I thought you were asking if this was a regularly scheduled “drawing day” for ME! Hahaha… If you meant “International Drawing Day,” then the answer should have been no. That was June 6.)

You broke his brain!

I wonder how long he’s gonna take to reboot!

Got the idea from this strip. (Warning: this is definitely an R rated strip. Don’t look at it if you are under the age of 18 or you tend to be high religious.)

Yup, when Reality slaps you in the face, it’s never a love tap! It reminds me of the McDonald’s commercial that ran a few years ago. The young man sees his first paycheck and asks: “Who’s FICA? And who said he could take my money?!”
Years ago, when I lived in another state and was a poor undergrad, friends suggested I get a car so I could go places out of town. Fine, I said, but how was I supposed to pay for gas, insurance, registration, etc.? I never got an answer to that!

Hahah@ both of you. It’s true! We’ve ALL had reality shock at one point or another, but it does seem to totally short-out teen brains!

Dale: LOL! That was funny (and thank you for putting the warning before the link).

I love Bryan’s expression in that last panel. It’s as though the idea of real life just shorted out his brain. Heheh.

Darn. I shouted at everybody to draw because it was Drawing Day. Facebook too…no wonder I got so many WTH responses.
I will try to remember the date next year.
I enjoyed watching you create. Twas fun. Thank you for straightening me out on International Drawing Day.
I like your comic strip.

Rickyn: Darn it! I’m so sorry! Blame it all on me to your friends. *grin* Here is the link for more info on Official Drawing Day”.

Thanks, Meggy! I’m glad that came across. (I was THIS CLOSE to putting “fizzle” lines coming from his brain.)

I love the last panel too and you soooo didn’t need to any fizzle lines on Witchy, it’s clear as day the poor lad’s brain has been derailed by real life … my lad is off to uni next month so will be experiencing that I think lol
