When the kids were small, my husband would tell them “Oh, Mommy is such a GREAT cook! She always puts in the SECRET ingredient.” When the kids got a little older, they told him it wasn’t a SECRET. Hahaha

Dale, I believe it is the software. When I make the lines, the software tapers off each end so that it looks like a brush stroke. I think it gives the comic a more traditional comic feel. I do have to draw a bit differently to accommodate the stroke, tho.
I don’t know if I’m going to keep doing this strip in this program or not, but I am enjoying the learning process. I am glad you think it doesn’t make the strip WORSE! *shudder*
(In case you can’t tell, the characters, counter and kitchen are done in the new program, Manga Studio Debut 4. The background shapes and text are done my regular old way in Photoshop CS.)
Yeah, you can tell the difference in the two programs. Manga Studio tends to color in pastels while Photoshop uses more base colors. It’s like the difference between water colors and oils.
Your style changes with the new software, though not for the bad, just different. Is it the software or is it the way you have to draw in the software?
