Several years ago, a clerk at a computer store told me that people come in and ask this all the time.  I imagine folks understand it a bit bettter these days, but I still think it’s funny.

Yeah, just make sure you buy enough tubes of it, tho.

ROFLMAO! I wish I had thought to use “tubes,” Dale! That’s funny.

I am a web application developer, and have been for many years (nearly a decade with that, or similar, titles).

Last year, my parents (ages 65 & 70) needed a new HDD for their computer, as their old one had died in a horrible crash. When shopping around for a decent one at a good price, my mother *insisted* that I find a hard drive that will let her check her school’s email on the internets… thinking, for some reason, that the HDD had something to do with her web connection.

(It worked out well for me… she got a new 250GB drive, and I got a new 500GB drive…. sometimes, being my family’s tech support has it’s perks.)

I just wish my mom and ***wife*** would learn the difference between hard drives and freakin’ ram!

Hahaha…I really shouldn’t chuckle, but it does seem so funny.

I remember when our office went to a local network and had shared printers (no internet yet). My elderly boss lady said I had to see about getting us our own printer. “What if two people sent things to the printer at the same time and someone else’s document started printing in the middle of OURS?!”

Now that’s funny! I love the expressions in that last panel.

Too cute. It reminds me of my family. They can’t understand the difference between a computer and internet. Very hard to explain.

HAHAH! Hi, Meggy!

I love it, Belkis!

I am going to do a series on the grandparents getting used to the computer. Watch for a post soon where you can send in your funniest stories about the non-technical folk in your families.
