Cooking up Trouble?

Honestly, my cooking isn’t THAT bad… some of my meals are even a big hit!

Hee hee I like the slow buildup of frustration. The last panel is my favorite. ;)

Family can be the worst critics around.

This sounds like my household. Does anyone not like pizza?

Also, I enjoy seeing the sketch. It will be fun to compare this to the final artwork.

LOL! Can you tell which mom is Zelda’s mom and which is Bill’s?

Tpiro: I often change things from the sketch, but it’s not too different. Just less.. sketchy. *tee hee*

Oh no, the sketch is gone! I guess I’ll have to make due with the full-color artwork… ;)

Hello Samantha!

I just wanted to wish you all the best for the promotional WAR! over at frumph.net! May the best one win! Without much doubt I will not be the lucky one: We Germans are only got at playing soccer… And at cooking! The One Who Knows from my Union of Heroes likes to cook, too! He is great in making omlettes! ;-)

Keep up your great work (I love your facial expressions in picture 2 and 3) and best regards to the whole family from Dortmund, Germany!

So.. I’m a guy, and by default totally inept at anything kitchen related. But I do remember many years ago when i was a wee little boy I was supposed to stir a pot of whatever for a while while my granny (she was cooking the whatever) had do something. When she comes back, during my feeling useful and productive, she goes something like “you’re stirring the wrong way”. At that moment I panic in a “oh no I ruined the pot of whatever” fashion. Thinking back to that it was quite amusing.

Long story short, this comic reminded me of that.

LOL, thank you fellows! I suppose I should roll up my sleeves and prepare for the Webcomic War! I am glad you all could relate to the comic. Zelda is very sensitive about her cooking, you know.

@Tpiro: Just for you to compare, here is the sketch of today’s comic. Let me know what you think! (that goes for anyone else who wishes to compare, too!)

I’d say the posh ones are Zelda’s in-laws. Getting the ‘salt and stirring’-remark from your own mother is tough enough, I would not be able to accept that from a m-i-l!

*chuckle* You got it right, Lieve!
