A Healthy Snack?!
Generally speaking, I do not like fruit. Actually, anything with “healthy” associated with it seems to turn my taste buds off. (Kind of like “educational” shows turn my children’s attention off.)
Since my (annual) resolution is to lose 50lbs, I would like to find something healthy to snack on while reading or computing that I actually WANT.
We got a free sample of Today’s Farm Freeze-dried Strawberries over the weekend. Hubby took them to work to snack on at his desk I just received an ICQ from him saying he LOVED them. I told him to order a case as I would like to try them (and if I don’t like them, I know he will eat them.)
Does anyone have any suggestions? Or better yet, what do YOU snack on when you feel peckish? Do you find you always want a snack when you are doing certain things (reading, watching TV, on the computer, drawing, etc.)?

Popcorn works for me, just don’t get the buttered kind and do get the make-it-yourself kind. If you want to season it, use Mrs. Dash seasonings instead of butter. I’m not sure, but I think there is a seasoning for popcorn called Butter Buds that is supposed to taste like butter on popcorn without all the “bad stuff” in it. That’s my $.02 worth on the matter.
I’d like to lose weight too but it seems an impossible task.
Best advice, stop thinking diet, stop thinking must lose weight. Maybe a mind set thing … reverse psych and all that. Drink water every hour, steer clear off fat free and low fat they are packed with sugar. Try lettuce leaves with salady things inside like a sandwich and plenty of tomato and veg soup, that stuff won’t hurt at all!

Since I stopped smoking in 2008, I gained a few kilos (sorry, I can’t think other than in metric system
), so I am on a diet too. During winter, whan I am at work, I mostly snack on carrots, that I cut in sticks, oranges and tangerines, and I have a cup of yogurth with corn flakes (with no sugar) as an evening meal. It also helps my belly feeling better, if you know what I mean…
