Comic Input Requested!

Hello, Readers!  My resolution for next year is to focus more on the comic and I need your help!  I would like to know what YOU think I’m doing well, and what I’m NOT doing well.   I am looking at proceeding with the comic in the manner of the strips from January 2007, so that’s what I need comment on.  (Those prior to that are evidence of my..er… rather steep learning curve.  If you like that format better, though, please say so!)

If you would be kind enough to send me any comments (lifesawitch (AT) doodlebot (DOT) net), I would be grateful.  If you just have one or two things you’d like to say, just post them in the comments here!  Thank you for reading Life’s a Witch!

Your style seems to have improved quite a bit from when you started. I would say keep on practicing, try not to stagnate, don’t let the critics get you down, and never give up!

Thanks for your comment, Dale! I do feel I’m getting better the more I do it. I’m going to make a concentrated effort to make better comics, though. You wait and see!

You’re doing ok with the family life fun. Your art is progressing and no one does that fast. You might want to work on backgrounds but not at the expense of the story.

You’re ABSOLUTELY right about the backgrounds. I have been fudging it with graphics and shapes to get the comic up, but I do miss seeing the characters in actual settings. Definitely look for more background work in 2009!

The free-form format style You’re using now is much better than the ealy style. James is right-on regarding the setting of the scene, but keep it simple. The actors are the play, the scenery is merely the stage.
